Challenge
Career beginners often struggle to identify which IT role fits their actual technical skills because most career advice is too generic, too AI-driven, or not grounded in real job requirements. CareerFit AI needed to provide useful recommendations without hallucinating roles or overestimating a user’s readiness.
Objective
The objective was to build a responsive AI-assisted career matching system that analyzes a user’s technical stack, confidence level, and experience, then maps them to realistic IT roles using deterministic scoring. AI is used only to refine role reasoning and project suggestions, while the system preserves strict rule-based validation, role gating, and reliable result structure.
Results
CareerFit AI delivers the top 3 best-fit IT roles with match scores, role levels, supporting skills, missing skills, recommended projects, and a practical 7-day learning plan. The app includes a polished mobile-first 3-screen flow, Hugging Face AI refinement, Resend email reports, local result saving, and reliable fallback behavior when AI is unavailable.
